Here are some of the pics I took over at John’s German style birthday bash and bbq. Most of these shots are prety dark b/c I didn’t want to use the flash, but I get decent results with my 50mm 1.4 in the dark. ///Phil

come on people. don’t you think there are better ways to spend your time and technical talent? surely.
Well, I have been neglecting my site a bit lately and have decided to get interactive on that ass. This has been spurred on by a recent dilemma; I’m just back from my wedding and honeymoon and have hundreds of photos from each event that I want to share with my peeps. Back in the day, I would make a couple of separate sites and post up the galleries on http://cornweasel.com aka http://philpangburn.com. This is great for pushing out bulk photos for family consumption, but lacks that web2.0ness I have been hearing about. I have been pushing out more photo’s to flickr than my own site lately. Just the one offs that are worth sharing, but not worthy of a gallery on my site. I think they may have sealed the deal with the partnership with Qoop, a means to make bound albums with your flickr photos. I plan on ordering one for my honeymoon shots to see what the look like. I’m curious to see how they handle vertical shots vs. horizontal when placing multiple shots on one page.
So, I’m working on uploading everything to flickr http://flickr.com/people/ph1lie. I may add a gallery to cornweasel as well, but I have been thinking of making that site more of a showcase of my favorite shots. We’ll see when I can get to that. In the spirit of full disclosure, I do work for Yahoo! and do think flickr rocks. ///Phil
